It's all about 'Angie'

Angie, as she calls herself, is becoming very independent these days. When she is struggling to put on her own shoes and one of us says 'Can we help you?' the response is 'No! Angie help you!' Instead of sitting on our lap, it's 'Angie own seat.' At the library they are all 'my books.' It's very cute to see a 22-lb, 2 and half foot person assert their dominance.

Here we are at the 'pungking pash':

Watching TV with partner in crime Taran:And on the plane on our way to LA - where she incidentally expanded her vocabulary with the dramatic 'oh my god!' and 'fabbess' (fabulous)

Chatting

Anjali is chatting lots these days, saying simple phrases like 'all gone,' 'fall down' and 'close the door.' she still has trouble with some words though, making for cute new words like 'kaput' (ketchup) and 'emens' (m and m's).

Here are some pics from an outing to San Gregorio beach.

Baby theme park

Here is anjali at gilroy gardens, one of her favorite summer hangouts. They all look so cute and serious on the rides!

Houston trip and other random outings

Anjali has been out and about lately, most notably to Houston to visit her grandma and grandpa and great-grandparents. She enjoyed lots of attention, good food and trips to Galveston and on Grandpa's boat. She's been really chatty lately, with her newest trick being the dreaded 'NO' accompanied by vigorous head-shaking. She tries to be very serious when she says no but it just ends up being super-cute!

toddler adventures

anj and mommy have been hanging with a group of moms and toddlers and exploring kid-friendly activities in the area. in addition to the requisite parks and home playdates, we've also been to the beach, to a kiddie theme park (like a mini great america) and to a few kids' museums. how will we ever have time to go back to work?
